Manistee National Forest encapsulates the spirit of a Midwestern adventure whether you choose to unravel it during a blossoming wildflower spring, a thriving lush summer or a constantly evolving, vibrant fall. The forest is mostly hardwood — oak, beech, and maple, with some aspen and pine intertwined. Go ahead and get to know the natural beauty; you've got about 500,000 acres in which to do so. 

  • Deploy: We'll peace out of Chicago at 6:30 a.m. from Osmium Coffee at 1117 W Belmont.
  • Embark: Sit back and relax during a four-hour road trip, while we trade skylines and cement for quaint towns and abundant forest. 
  • Return: After four days and three nights, you won't want to come back to the city. That's up to you. But if you'd like a lift to Chicago, we'll be there at noon.
