Manistee river trail, manistee national forest

Among one of the most popular trails in the Manistee, this 24 miler is split by the Manistee River half and a small stretch of the North Country Trail, a trail that starts up in the New York/Pennsylvania border and ends all way up in North Dakota. Don't worry, we'll only ask a few miles of you.

On the Manistee River side, experience the dramatically high and steep banks of the river and watch as it bends and meanders through its mixed hardwood home. On the North Country Trail side, expect a couple surprising climbs that will earn your respect but reward your hard work. The days can be long and challenging but the points you'll earn on the trail come in the form of solitude, starlight and perhaps a surprise or two your guide can show you.

Strap on those hiking boots, we've got some ground to cover.
